Laura trains Vanessa Feltz!

Vanessa Feltz has lost 2st in just 8 weeks – now she and fiancé Ben intend to benefit from it...

Vanessa worked with personal trainer LAURA WILLIAMS for an hour, three times a week, to tone up and improve her fitness. "We concentrated on high-intensity cardio exercise to burn calories and temporarily boost her metabolic rate. This means you're burning calories at a faster rate after exercise. We also did step-ups, squats and lunges to build up Vanessa's muscle mass, which also helps burn calories efficiently when you're not working out.
Vanessa doesn't like running so I got her walking on the treadmill, sometimes on the flat and sometimes on an uphill incline. She also interspersed treadmill work with rowing, cycling and kickboxing. Walking on an incline was probably tougher than jogging because Vanessa was constantly using 80-90% of her Maximum Heart Rate. With the cycling we mixed things up again so that at times she was cycling very fast and then at a slower pace, but with more resistance, Vanessa's got loads of willpower and is very determined, so she stuck rigidly to our schedule and has seen good results. We're going to carry on working together!"
